I was using Office on my old laptop and now having a Windows 8 laptop, it’s trying to get me to buy Office , which I can’t afford. I want to reinstall my copy of Office onto my new laptop, however what I thought was the product key may not be – as I found it on the back of the old laptop under the name Microsoft, which I assumed was right..

I have no idea what the old product key for the old copy was and can’t find any way to get it onto my laptop. It depends on were you purchased Office from, and exactly which Office license you purchased.
